Gum Drops and Toothpicks

It’s part of Engineering Week.
First it’s a lesson about shapes.
Preschoolers ranging from ages four to six use that knowledge to build domes made of gumdrops and toothpicks with the help of teachers and engineers from GRAEF USA Inc., an engineering firm in Ashwaubenon.
“With our philosophy here at Montessori it’s just letting them have that hands on experience and letting them manipulate the materials to figure it out how they can do it,” said teacher Jeanie James.Read More and See a Video Here
